Government Review Committee

The Government Review Committee’s mission is to conduct an ongoing assessment of County services, departments, policies, procedures and local laws and make recommendations for improvement to the St. Lawrence County Board of Legislators.

Membership: The Government Review Committee will be comprised of Legislators and other elected officials, County staff and community members


  • Identify areas for improvement in County services, departments, policies and procedures through the process of data gathering, assessments and strategic planning
  • Make recommendations to the Board of Legislators based on assessments and strategic planning and provide resources and support for suggested improvements
  • Improve communication with internal and external government partners and community members and work together for a more efficient and effective local government
